ANNUAL CONFERENCE
Tuesday 11th November 2025
10:00am - 3:30pm
11 Mandeville Place
London, W1U 3AJ
Our theme for this year:
Valuing Motherhood
Although we celebrate pregnancy and birth, the support for mothers after childbirth is often minimal. Too frequently, mothers are left to navigate this new chapter without sufficient recognition of the vital role they are playing. One common question asked is: “When will you be returning to work?”—implying that the intense and valuable work of motherhood is secondary to returning to the paid workforce, as if a mother's worth is measured more by her economic contribution than by her role in nurturing and raising the next generation.
This year’s conference focuses on:
The transition into Motherhood
Understanding the critical importance of the mothering role
Ways to support mothers during this period of change
Conference Highlights:
MORNING Session: Engaging talks from expert speakers (details to be confirmed soon)
AFTERNOON Session: A life coach will guide us in recognising the invaluable skills developed through motherhood, building confidence, and effectively communicating those skills when reentering the workforce.
We will be sharing more information in our Autumn newsletter and the booking link will be live from September. There will be an early bird option available for those who book their tickets in September and an online option for anyone who would prefer to join remotely.
To allow for more discussion time at conference we've decided to hold the AGM separately as a Zoom Meeting the week after. If you are a MAHM member (or would like to become one) please put Tuesday 18th November in your diaries 10-11.30am. This will be a chance to find out more about how MAHM is run, how to get more involved (we are always in need of more volunteers!) and vote on any changes. A Zoom link will be sent to all members nearer the time.
We look forward to seeing you at one or both of our events in November!
